February 2018 Highlights
2/2 Various Internship Prep Workshops:
Brothers were able to attend an internship prep program day with 50 minute workshops and snacks! The program consisted of networking, resume, cover letter, and internship searching/interviewing workshops to build strong candidates and professional skills.
2/16, 2/17 The Race to Anyplace (pictured left):
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society held the Race to Anyplace at Heinz Field. At this event, brothers volunteered to set up and coordinate the event. This bikathon raised money towards blood cancer research and everyone had an amazing time!
2/17 Wildlife Center (pictured right):
Brothers made another visit to volunteer their time at the Wildlife Center near Penn Hills this month.
They received a tour of the facility and learned about the animals and care they receive. The brothers helped paint the staff break room and the animal care room and also cleaned cages and walls throughout the building.
2/18 Zumbathon:
Brothers dusted off their yoga mats and sneakers for a day filled with fun Zumba sessions! Registration was $10 with all of the proceeds going to Pittsburgh Action Against Rape (PAAR). A day full of exercise for a good cause, there's no better way to spend a Sunday!
2/27 Fulbright U.S. Student Program Information Session:
Brothers had the opportunity to attend an information session for national scholarships. The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for one year of post-baccalaureate research, study, or English teaching assistantship abroad.
