March 2018 Highlights
March was an eventful month for the Pi. Let's see how our brothers filled their time!
3/13 Deans Chat with Dean Assad:
Brothers had the opportunity to join Dean Arjang A. Assad for pizza and conversation. The networking session was held in the Alumni Networking Zone in Sennott Square, including an informal meeting where students could share their thoughts, suggestions, and impressions about the college of business administration.
3/15 Coffee and Career Chat: students interested in working at a museum enjoyed this creative arts series, featuring professionals to learn from and network with, in the museum industry.
3/15 Challah for Hunger:
Brothers join thousands of student participants across the US, Canada, Australia and England to practice the centuries-old tradition of baking challah together. Brothers learn about the traditional methods of baking challah and then the bread is sold to fellow students and university staff and community members. The profits from these sales are donated to both local and national nonprofits fighting hunger in their communities.
3/18 Volleyball Tournament (pictured right):
Pi brothers served up a wonderful philanthropy event with a Volleyball Tournament to support the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Phi Sigma Pi brothers and other Pitt students came together to support a great cause and play some great games of volleyball!
3/24 Formal (pictured left):
On March 24th, Phi Sigma Pi brothers and initiates went to Hilton Garden Inn, Pittsburgh for our Spring 2018 Formal! Our Social chair & committee did an awesome job to make sure everything went great. Everybody dressed up, enjoyed good food, and killed it on the dance floor!
